Bicyclist Hit in Eagle By Vehicle and Sent to the Hospital
Posted on Apr 28, 2014
EAGLE -- A bicyclist was struck Sunday in Eagle, Idaho at the intersection of Floating Feather Road and Pebble Beach Way as the bicyclist was crossing Pebble Beach Way. The driver of the car was cited for Failure to Yield the Right-of-Way after she told Ada County Deputies that she didn’t see the woman on the bike. The bicyclist was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
In Idaho, the plea of guilty and the payment of a fine are admissible as evidence as admissions against interest in a subsequent civil proceeding to establish negligence against the driver. The violation of a safety statute such as failure to yield constitutes negligence per se in Idaho.
