2 Die Due to Train Crash | Morton Law Offices, Chartered

OREGON CITY, Oregon - Two people died after getting hit by a train south of Oregon City on Easter Sunday morning at around 11:00 a.m.

The Amtrak train was traveling en route from Eugene to Portland when it sttruck two pedestrians walking on or near the train tracks just 2 miles south of Oregon City around 11 a.m., according to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office. The Clackamas County Sheriff’s investigators report that train was traveling from Eugene to Portland with 38 passengers on board when the collision occurred. The names, ages and identities of the victims killed have not yet been released.

It is a crime to walk on or adjacent to train tracks. The Union Pacific Railroad is also conducting an investigation into the accident.
