BOISE – Seven people were transported to a local hospital as a result of a multi-vehicle collision that occurred at the intersection of 27th and Fairview Avenues last Saturday afternoon.
Boise Police Department reports that a collision involving 3 vehicles occurred around 2:00 p.m. last Saturday when a vehicle ran a red stop light and caused a crash with two other vehicles going through a green light. The crash was so severe that two people had to be pulled out of their vehicles. It was also report that one of the vehicles ended up in an adjacent parking lot located at the northeast corner of the intersection.
In Idaho, the failure to stop at a red light is an infraction, but sometimes a collision of this magnitude involves other factors involving inattentive driving including texting or some other distraction going on in a vehicle. This collision is currently under investigation by the Boise Police Department.
Albeit the injuries are reported as non-life threatening, the injuries to at least one of the victims involved broken bones.
