Head-On Collision Sends Sheriff’s Deputy to the Hospital

STAR, Idaho -- A head-on collision occurred Wednesday evening at State Street and Senica Springs in Star, Idaho when a Ford SUV going eastbound on State Street swerved out of his lane, crossed into opposing traffic and crashed into an Ada County Sheriff’s car. The driver of the Ford SUV told Idaho State Police that he had fallen asleep at the wheel. The extent of the driver’s injuries were unknown at this time.
The Ada County Sheriff’s Deputy went to a local hospital and was reported as having been treated and released.
The crash currently remains under investigation.
