Head-On Crash Kills 5 yr old and Injures 4 Others Near Notus

NOTUS, Idaho -- A horrific head-on collision last Saturday killed a 5 year old girl and left four other people injured on US Highway 20 near Gotsch Road about 5 miles west of Notus. The Idaho State Police report that 24 year old Jimmie Urrutia of Nyssa, Oregon was driving westbound when he crossed over the center line and crashed head-on into a car driven by Saul Monreal, age 34, of Caldwell, Idaho. Two passengers in Monreal’s car nad a passenger in Urrutia’s car were taken to the hospital by ground ambulance while Urrutia was taken to the hospital. The Idaho State Police are continuing their investigation of the crash.
