1 Woman Dead Due to Crash Into Power Pole

MERIDIAN – One woman is dead and her passenger was injured due to a one-vehicle crash that occurred early Saturday morning at the 2900 block of West Franklin Road in Boise, Idaho. Officers arrived at the scene just before 2:30 a.m. and found a 2007 Toyota Scion resting against a power pole with the car having sustained severe damage.
Police discovered that the driver was 19-yr-old Britanya Vasquez of Caldwell, ID dead behind the wheel. A male passenger, whose name is not yet identified, was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment for non-life threatening injuries. Another female passenger was released at the scene.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing by the Meridian Police Department.
