Posted on May 06, 2014
BOISE – A SUV allegedly ran a red stop light at the intersection of Fairview Avenue and 27th Street in Boise this morning. The SUV crashed into a Toyota and then flipped the SUV onto its roof. Emergency Response Teams were dispatched to take care of the injured, and the SUV’s driver was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way.
In Idaho, the failure to stop at a stop light and remained stopped until the light turns green rbefore entering an intersection thereby causing a motor vehicle wreck constitutes negligence per se. The collision is under investigation, and it is unknown at present if the driver of the SUV was distracted or whether the driver was simply trying to beat the light when the crash occurred.
