Semi-Truck Collision Results in Fatality

GOODING, Idaho - A semi-truck ran through a stop sign and crashed into a pickup truck Sunday morning at the intersection of1800 East and 3400 South in Gooding. The crash occurred at 2:15 a.m. All three occupants of the pickup were transported to local area hospitals, however, 54 yr old Rosa Fuentes-Guevara of Wendell, Idaho was transported by air ambulance to the St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls where she later died from her injuries sustained in the crash.
The Idaho State Police report that 43 yr old truck driver Christopher Weaver of Twin Falls failed to stop at the stop sign and struck the pickup truck.
Police are conducting a collision reconstruction of the accident, and their investigation is ongoing. Criminal charges are pending subsequent to the conclusion of the investigation.
