Posted on Nov 14, 2014
BOISE - The first snowfall came to the Treasure Valley with a doozy of a storm leaving a record snowfall for the month of November of 7.6 inches of snow in Boise snarling traffic and resulting in numerous motor vehicle collisions. As of yesterday, Ada County reports over 56 weather related crashes and slide offs in the county. The Idaho State Police reported as of yesterday servicing over 19 crashes. Those numbers are likely much higher given the fact that snow has been steadily coming down the past 24 hours causing school closures throughout the Treasure Valley.
Emergency response teams report having difficulty in responding to each collision due to weather and road conditions.
